Creative Media Level 2

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Creative Media (Film and Television pathway) is an exciting and challenging course which encourages you to gain media specific theoretical writing skills, technical and practical skills, media specific knowledge, technical and practical skills enabling you to make informed choices with regard to a future career. The Level 2 is a nationally recognised qualification designed to prepare young people for the real world through practical activities and industry fit for purpose assessments.

 

Course Content :

 The qualification has been developed in consultation with employers in the digital audio/visual sector to ensure that you develop the skills and behaviours that give you the best opportunity to be successful in applying for apprenticeships and further education. Learners will cover Planning and Pitching a Media Product, Moving Image Production, Editing for Moving Image, Audio Production, Lighting and Filming. There is an externally assessed controlled assessment Unit as part of the course and Work Experience is mandatory. The course aims to develop a foundation of skills, knowledge and behaviours expected by employers in the media production sector of the Creative Industries. The programme includes Mathematics and English at an applicable level. 

 
 
 

Music Production Level 2 (2 alternative career pathways)

DJ Development :

Learning about the DJ world, operating DJ equipment, creating DJ sets and playlists, Showcasing your own set, safety as a DJ, learning about the music industry. Learning about the DJ world, operating DJ equipment, creating DJ sets and playlists, operating pioneers and dj controllers, using serato and other dj software, live performance. Showcasing your own set, safety as a DJ, learning about the music industry.

Studio Engineering :

learn the basics of operation in the recording studio, how to use Logic Pro X, Engineer artist projects, and basic client interaction. Work with recording artists producing songs and develop within the music industry.

Employability Level 2 (2 alternative career pathways)

Artist Development :

Creative writing, learning about structure of songs, learning about the music industry, creating songs with others, studio experience working with engineers, learning about the music industry and showcasing live events for ages between 16+. 

Fashion :

Fashion show event planning, modeling, photography, advertising and marketing, healthy body, time management, learning about the fashion industry.
